Tying the knot is a wonderful thing. Now, I don't care what all of your guy friends told you about marriage and what life is like after the honeymoon; it's a bunch of bull. In the real world marriage is amazing. So long as you trade vows with someone you truly love and want to spend the rest of your days with. You see, that's the key. Needless to say, a marriage isn't something you just jump into. It's crucial that you get to know each other first. Possibly even see the lady without her make-up on. Anyway, when you do decide to slip rings on each other's fingers, make the experience as magnificent as possible. Think about destination weddings and wondrous honeymoon getaways. This is your time and it only happens once in a lifetime. With your wedding ceremony and honeymoon, you should be willing to go all-out.

Several years back I popped the question. Almost immediately my fiance and I began discussing destination weddings. I don't know if she really wanted to or not, but I shoved it in her face without a second thought. I had just always dreamed of getting married in a nice quiet setting. Eventually we had it narrowed down to Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. Well, we had already been to Charleston and thought it was an ideal town to spend a couple weeks in. However, I had heard that Savannah was similar, but even better. So in the end, we had to choose Savannah for our destination wedding. We proceeded to plan out a 10 day stretch. We would be married on the second day and enjoy the remainder of the time as our honeymoon. I prepared by browsing through websites and reading reviews on the best hotels and B&Bs. I finally came across the Ballastone Inn, which was highly regarded by past guests. It was our choice spot to stay and we were married in their lovely southern courtyard. All employees of this B&B were very cooperative and helpful with our private ceremony.

There are endless great places to choose from in regards to destination weddings. I suggest you narrow it down by places you've always dreamed of visiting. Just make certain that you're both on the same page. Remember it's a special time for two individuals; not just one. Make your destination wedding a time to remember and cherish for as long as you both shall live.
